proprietress of Objects d’ art is from a family
which is a pioneer and was for 3 generations been in
the business of antiques and handicrafts.
Reproductions from Portuguese, Dutch
and British periods of Sri Lanka made of teak, Ebony,
Rosewood, satin and mahogany are amongst the most popular
items on display and sale. Object d’ art also
undertakes custom made furniture.
Amongst the other various items are artifacts from Nepal,
Bhutan, India, Indonesia & Sri lanka. Brass statues,
bronze and copperware, silver ware, paintings, old coins,
feng shui, ornamental objects, porcelain ware such as
plates and kettle objects and host of other curious
too are available.
Sri Lankan precious stones and
silver jewelry have made an impact in foreign markets
and some particularly attractive pieces are always available
in stock.
